Rose Stone Ale
Rose Stone Ale is the local standby of the mining town of Tehran, and, like all other things in Tehran, it relies on the quarry and mine.
Rose Stone Ale is a sweet and gritty ale. The sweet flavor can attributed to the malt used, of course, but primarily it comes from the use of dried flakes of sweet cap mushrooms that can be found within the mine. Unfortunately, there is also the gritty side of Rose Stone Ale. This texture comes from the addition of, you guessed it, Rose Stone itself. Rose Stone dust can be found in inch-thick layers all over the town of Tehran. The brewer simply sweeps some up and adds it to the wort so that it becomes an integral part of the drink.
