Ink Wine

This terrifying creation is the house special of The Plucked Duck, a tavern/inn found on the poor side of the border town of Splitz. The original recipe was discovered by the current owner’s grandfather and has continued down the line ever since. Though called a wine, it is only such by name. Ink Wine is the product of the wonton mixture of whatever is lying around that day and the signature ingredient, ink harvested from local octopi.

The octopus ink gives the drink the only consistent characteristics from batch to batch: A disgustingly thick body, a blue/black coloring, and a salty tinge to the flavor of the day. Generally speaking this is more than enough to make the drink nigh unsalvagable when it comes to taste.

The particular batch tried by the party included a spicy, almost cinnamon-like, taste to it as well as an after taste of licorice. Overall, Vinnie and Alexi shared an experience that can be described as nothing short of disgusting and promptly ordered another drink to chase the taste away. Unfortunately, such a horrid flavor can still be remembered.
